The film provides more authentic information about the country and people of Vietnam in the 1980s.
In the documentary, viewers can see the bustling life of people on the streets of Hanoi (including Trang Tien Street), images of the Military Museum in Hanoi, views of other localities in Vietnam, and construction sites of major projects in Vietnam at that time (such as power plants and oil and gas projects, etc.). There are beautiful images of the friendly, lovely smiles of Vietnamese youth.

The film also includes precious images of Vietnam's senior leaders in 1983 such as General Secretary Le Duan, Prime Minister Pham Van Dong and Deputy Prime Minister Do Muoi.
The film, probably shot by Soviet photographers, was provided by the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam on May 10 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late Azerbaijani leader Heydar Aliyev.
Mr. Heydar Aliyev officially visited Vietnam in 1983 as Deputy Prime Minister of the Soviet Union. This leader made many contributions to helping Vietnam in general and supporting the Vietnamese oil and gas industry in particular. During the visit, he traveled to many places, met many people and spoke at the historic Ba Dinh Hall.
The film shows the close friendship between Vietnam and the Soviet Union at that time. Vietnamese people enthusiastically waved flags to welcome the visiting Soviet delegation./.
