The bombing of the Independence Palace and the attack on Tan Son Nhat Airport in early April 1975, which contributed to the great spring victory, had been carefully prepared in advance. At the end of 1973, the Saigon - Gia Dinh Military Intelligence Department had a secret plan to use American planes to drop explosives on the Independence Palace to strike at the psychology of the soldiers of the US - puppet regime and to boost the morale of our army and people on all battlefields. But what kind of plane would be used? Who would fly it? And where would we get the plane? This story seems to only exist in detective stories, but a Saigon spy did it. Who was that person? The answer will be in the documentary Secret Mission.

After 50 years of peaceful reunification, the heroic pilots of Vietnam met and recalled the heroic memories of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975, and the profound memories of the raid on Tan Son Nhat airport by enemy aircraft. They are always proud when talking about the years of flying in the sky of the Fatherland, about the "suicide" battles in the vast air to protect the sky of Hanoi and the socialist North. Over the past 50 years, the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army in the air front have always been close to each other because the comradeship has become a bond that lasts a lifetime.

The documentary Secret Mission will air at 8:10 p.m. on April 14 on VTV1 and 9:15 p.m. on April 20 on VTV9.
