Session 24-4, VIC and VHM stocks strongly supported the market

In the trading session on April 24, the VN-Index continued to increase by more than 12 points thanks to strong support from VIC and VHM stocks. However, liquidity decreased.

On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, at the close of the session, the total trading value reached VND17,660 billion, down from VND19,000 billion the previous session. SHB was the only code with a transfer value of over VND1,000 billion (reaching VND1,100 billion). Liquidity decreased because investors were cautious.

Foreign investors were net buyers. This group bought nearly 2,429 billion VND and sold over 1,849 billion VND.

After opening, the market performed quite similarly to the previous session, VN-Index increased quite strongly by more than 10 points, then the increase slowed down. By lunchtime, VN-Index stopped at 1,214.08 points, up 3.08 points.

In the afternoon session, the market performed more positively, with the VN-Index increasing strongly towards the end of the session. At the close of the market, the VN-Index increased by 12.35 points (1.02%), to 1,223.35 points; the VN30-Index stopped at 1,311.66 points, up 8.62 points (0.66%).

The entire floor had 289 codes increasing in price, 207 codes decreasing in price. In the VN30 group, the number of codes increasing and decreasing in price were 18 codes and 8 codes respectively.

Most sectors gained points, with notable performances in telecommunications, real estate, vehicles and components. Consumer services, media and entertainment, specialized services and trade were the sectors that went against the market.

Two Vin codes, VIC and VHM, strongly supported the market. These two codes alone accounted for half of the market points scored in this session. VIC increased to the ceiling, contributing nearly 4 points to the VN-Index. VHM increased by 4.62%, contributing more than 2.7 points.

Meanwhile, on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index decreased by 0.38 points (-0.18%) to 211.07 points; the HNX30-Index stopped at 414.97 points, down 1.5 points (-0.36%). The entire exchange had more than 1,000 billion VND changed hands.
