This is the basis for evaluating and classifying creative cultural spaces in the capital, such as design, visual arts, architecture, music, performance, handicrafts, publishing, photography, cinema... coordinated and organized by state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, foreign organizations, individuals, and creative groups.
These spaces are also rich in types: museums, libraries, art spaces, galleries, cultural centers, educational centers, cafes, co-working spaces, etc.
The workshop consulted experts, international organizations, space representatives, and creative practitioners on criteria for evaluating creative cultural spaces and received coordination and support from stakeholders in the operations of creative spaces.
Through this, the Organizing Committee calls on units, organizations and individuals to participate in forming the Hanoi creative space network, connecting the activities of the Hanoi creative space network with the UNESCO Creative Cities creative space network worldwide, contributing to promoting creative activities and developing the capital's cultural industries.
In 2019, Hanoi officially joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of design. Up to now, 295 cities (from 90 countries) members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network have been carrying out practical activities to work together towards a common mission, enhancing international cooperation, placing creativity in the creative economy at the core of urban development. This is an important tool and commitment to help realize the goal of developing the cultural industry of Hanoi city. Currently, Hanoi is the place where creative resources are concentrated and has the largest number of creative cultural spaces in the country. Creative cultural spaces have the ability to connect the creative community, spread creative inspiration, create identity and attractiveness for urban areas based on traditional values, nurture the spiritual life of the community, provide jobs and support the development of creative industries, helping the city achieve the goal of balanced and sustainable development. |
