Việt NamViệt Nam07/02/2025

That is the general goal set forth by the Provincial People's Committee in Plan No. 31/KH-UBND to implement the Project on science development and application, technology transfer to promote circular economy in agriculture by 2030 in Binh Phuoc province.

Accordingly, the specific goal by 2030: At least 10% of scientific and technological tasks in the agricultural sector will be researched, applied and transferred to serve the development of a circular economy in agriculture. Post-harvest losses of key agricultural products will be reduced by 0.5-1%/year.

The goal by 2030 is to reduce post-harvest losses of key agricultural products by 0.5-1%/year.

By 2030, in the field of cultivation, at least 50% of by-products of key products will be processed, recycled and reused.   In the field of livestock and aquaculture, 60% of households and 100% of large-scale farms apply technology and techniques to treat and reuse livestock waste.   In the forestry sector, at least 50% of by-products from wood exploitation and processing are used to produce biofuel or wood products such as artificial wood panels.

Strive for 100% of agricultural staff to be trained in waste and by-product treatment and recycling processes for key agricultural products. 80% of mixed farms and at least 50% of cooperatives have access to waste management and use processes, recycling and reuse of by-products, waste treatment technology and recycling of by-products in agriculture. The application of circular economy technology in farms, cooperatives and enterprises helps increase at least 20% of added value in the agricultural product chain.

To achieve the above objectives, the Provincial People's Committee has also set out 6 tasks and solutions for implementation. Specifically, including: Applying science and technology, technical advances, advanced production processes to serve circular agriculture; promoting technology transfer to develop circular agriculture; developing consumption markets for circular agricultural products; mechanisms and policies to promote circular economic development in agriculture; cooperation in the field of circular agriculture; communication to raise awareness and capacity to develop circular economy in agriculture.

Notably, developing the consumption market for circular agricultural products includes: Supporting organizations and individuals to develop markets for products applying circular economy in agriculture such as: Effectively implementing trade promotion programs, advertising, and searching for markets for circular agricultural products; organizing fairs, supporting the posting on e-commerce trading floors, electronic information pages to introduce, promote, promote trade, search for markets, and output for circular agricultural products in the province.

At the same time, support the building of product brands, geographical indications, certification of origin, traceability from the application of circular economy in agriculture integrating multi-value environmental, low-emission associated with economical use of natural resources, protecting biodiversity.

At the same time, linking production, processing and consumption of agricultural products according to the value chain between enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups and people in concentrated production areas creates a closed circular production chain, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products and improving economic efficiency for circular economic models.
