In early April 2025, Mong Cai City People's Committee and Vinhomes Joint Stock Company jointly started the project to invest in the construction of the roundabout area on the road leading to Bac Luan II Bridge, invested by Vinhomes Joint Stock Company. The project has an investment scale of about 4.81 hectares, with a total investment capital of 146 billion VND, and is expected to be completed in August 2025. After completion, the project will contribute to completing the traffic infrastructure on the road leading to Bac Luan II Bridge, an important traffic gateway area between Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China) through Bac Luan II border gate.

Most recently, on April 13, 2025, the city also started construction of Van Xuan communal house in village 9, Hai Xuan commune. Hai Xuan commune People's Committee has implemented the Van Xuan communal house restoration project, with a total planning area of ​​11,156m²; including 8 main construction items and a parking lot, with a total estimated cost of over 22.2 billion VND, construction time in 2025-2026. The restoration and construction of Van Xuan communal house and the restoration and collection of documents related to Van Xuan communal house through historical periods aim to restore the precious relic of the locality, meet the people's aspirations for a place for cultural and religious activities, promote national traditions, and at the same time convey national pride, solidarity and preserve cultural traditions at the headland of the Fatherland.

In recent times, Mong Cai City has mobilized many resources, accelerated the investment in infrastructure construction to create momentum, attract investment, and develop socio-economic breakthroughs, especially dynamic traffic works in the area of ​​5 communes: Quang Nghia, Hai Son, Bac Son, Vinh Thuc, Vinh Trung. From 2021 to now, many works have been put into operation, bringing efficiency in socio-economic development in the border city. Typically, the project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 341 (QL18C) from Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone to Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Economic Zone (Hai Ha) was completed and put into use in September 2023. This is an important route, connecting mountainous and border communes of the province, passing through highland communes of Mong Cai City and Hai Ha district. The project creates a breakthrough in infrastructure of the border economic zone, contributing to the rapid development of Mong Cai Border Economic Zone and Bac Phong Sinh Border Economic Zone, creating a strong attraction for freight transport through the route to Mong Cai Border Economic Zone and vice versa; creating a driving force to promote regional connectivity, goods exchange, attract investment projects, improve the quality of life of ethnic minority areas, difficult mountainous areas, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty and enrich the border areas.

The project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 341 (QL18C) from Mong Cai border gate economic zone to Bac Phong Sinh border gate economic zone (Hai Ha) has been put into use, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

Currently, the city continues to promote the effective implementation of three strategic breakthroughs. In particular, it continues to effectively implement the motto "Take public investment to lead private investment". Focus on completing construction and putting into use resettlement infrastructure projects to serve the site clearance work of key public investment projects in the city; focus on completing legal procedures to select investors for commercial housing projects in 2025: Commercial service - sports urban area in Hai Hoa ward; urban area in Hai Xuan commune; urban area on both sides of the road leading to Bac Luan II bridge (phase 3), creating revenue for the city budget...

Continue to direct and implement fundamental and comprehensive innovation, improve the qualityof education and training; consolidate and improve the quality of universal education, the quality of schools meeting national standards; promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in education; innovate and transform the country's digital economy; pay attention to supporting, accelerating investment progress and attracting secondary investors to operate in Hai Yen Industrial Park and service, tourism and advantageous sectors to create jobs, contributing to attracting workers from other provinces and high-quality human resources to live and work.   and improve the quality of the city's population. Improve the quality of administrative reform, improve the investment and business environment. Develop enterprises and strongly develop the private economic sector, focusing on supporting and removing maximum difficulties, obstacles, and bottlenecks in mobilizing and using investment resources, supporting enterprises to restructure, improve technological capacity, innovate production and business methods, and convert individual households into enterprises.
