The dossier of the project to arrange administrative units (ADU) at district and commune levels in the period of 2023 - 2025 of Quang Nam is being submitted to the Central Government for appraisal. In the project, the option of merging Tam Vinh commune and Phu Thinh town has been discussed and carefully calculated, receiving a very high consensus from voters of the two localities (more than 96.7%).
The urban classification project for the expanded Phu Thinh town was developed by the People's Committee of Phu Ninh district and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to recognize it as meeting the standards of a type V urban area.
Mr. Huynh Xuan Chinh - Chairman of Phu Ninh District People's Committee shared that, with the agreement of the Central and the province, the District People's Committee based on two plans: the current Phu Thinh town plan and the general plan of Tam Vinh commune to evaluate and develop the urban classification project of the new administrative unit after the arrangement. The conclusion of the National Assembly Standing Committee recently required Quang Nam to submit a decision approving the task of making a general plan of Phu Thinh town after the arrangement.
At the recent 16th Session, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, the People's Committee of Phu Ninh district submitted to the Phu Ninh District People's Council for consideration and approval of the task of establishing a general plan for the expanded Phu Thinh town until 2030 and 2045, allocating a budget of more than 1.7 billion VND.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung - Head of Economic - Infrastructure Department of Phu Ninh district, the master plan for Phu Thinh town is necessary and urgent, and must be completed in 2025.
The Master Plan for the expanded Phu Thinh town, Phu Ninh district for the period up to 2030 and 2045 is the legal basis for the expanded Phu Thinh town to organize investment in the construction of urban infrastructure, functional areas, urban development areas... From there, it is the basis for establishing and adjusting the Urban Development Program, architectural management regulations... to ensure that the criteria of a type V urban area are met.
After the Provincial People's Committee approved the task outline and budget for the master plan for the expanded Phu Thinh town, the Phu Ninh District People's Committee selected a consulting unit, organized a survey, developed plans, and collected opinions from the people, localities, and mass organizations to complete and submit to the District People's Council for approval before submitting to the province for approval.
