Promoting high-tech agricultural area of more than 2,000 hectares in Binh Thuan

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province, the Binh Thuan high-tech agricultural zone (NNUDCNC) has an area of about 2,155 hectares invested in construction in communes and towns of Bac Binh district.

High-tech production types are applied such as white, yellow, red dragon fruit and hybridization of new varieties; melon, aloe vera, grapes, garlic, asparagus, valuable vegetables, roselle (medicinal plant)... research and experimental planting of roselle.

This is a large-scale project, applying high technology. When formed, it will have an important meaning in contributing to the restructuring of the province's agricultural sector, creating a spillover effect to the people, other components and developing regions in the province.

Up to now, it has attracted businesses and cooperatives to invest in high-tech agricultural areas such as Binh Minh High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative, Tan Dong Production and Trade Company Limited (growing vegetables), Branch of Tien Phong Binh Thuan Steel Construction Agricultural Investment Joint Stock Company (mainly growing melons), and Soleil Farm Company Limited.

Talking about the advantages and difficulties in the process of implementing NNUDCNC, as well as investment attraction policies and solutions in the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province said that, first of all, we must mention the advantage of the traffic axis when the NNUDCNC Binh Thuan area is located near National Highway 1A, next to DT 715, Phan Thiet airport, Vinh Tan port.

In addition, there are conditions on land quality and water resources that are suitable for the criteria for building a typical NNUDCNC area for arid lands. Regarding difficulties, the natural conditions here are very harsh; the land and soil are mainly sandy and poor in nutrients, so agricultural production faces many difficulties, requiring large investment solutions to reserve irrigation water.

Currently, to attract potential enterprises to invest in the high-tech agricultural zone, Binh Thuan province creates the most favorable conditions for enterprises in the process of investing in the high-tech agricultural zone. Such as enjoying the highest incentives according to the provisions of the law on land, corporate income tax, value added tax, export tax, import tax, etc.

In the coming time, Binh Thuan province will strengthen promotion and call for investment in the region through investment promotion conferences and seminars. Continue to improve the investment and business environment to further promote enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas. Attract enterprises to cooperate with cooperatives and farming households to develop high-tech agriculture in the direction of modern, sustainable development with high added value.
