Promoting the core and pioneering role, the youth of Thanh Hoa police have promoted the spirit of initiative in attacking and resolutely suppressing all types of criminal, economic, drug, corruption and environmental crimes. Many youth union members have played a particularly important role in fighting major cases and destroying criminal gangs and groups. In particular, the youth union units under the provincial police youth union have effectively coordinated with the youth union chapters and youth union members of units and localities outside the police force, implementing joint resolutions and plans related to the work of ensuring security, order, and fighting and preventing crime.
Along with that, the Youth Union organizations have organized more than 12,000 sessions to propagate, disseminate and educate the law on traffic order and safety, drug prevention, crime and social evils prevention, fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue for nearly 500,000 cadres, party members and the masses. With the spirit of "serving the people", in recent times, thousands of Youth Union members of Thanh Hoa Police have volunteered to work extra shifts, overtime, organize citizen reception, and handle administrative procedures on Saturdays and Sundays every week to shorten the time to handle work, especially work related to individuals, organizations and businesses.
Previously, during rush hours - the beginning and end of school hours, at the gate of Kim Tan Town Primary School (Thach Thanh), most vehicles passing through here were extremely difficult because the vehicles of parents picking up their children were parked all over the road. After the town police youth union and the school board coordinated to build the model "Traffic-safe school gate", the above situation has significantly decreased. Up to now, at Kim Tan Town Primary School (Thach Thanh), at the end of school hours, the vehicles of parents picking up their children all stop and park at locations far from the school gate, no longer encroaching on the road, obstructing traffic as before. Along with the regulation and maintenance of order by the commune police force and the town youth union members, this place has become a typical model of "Traffic-safe school gate" in the district. This is one of the many tasks that the Kim Tan town youth union members have effectively implemented and maintained regularly in the past time.
Lieutenant Quach Van But, secretary of the Kim Tan town police youth union, said: "The youth force of Kim Tan town is very large and strong. That is why we have mobilized youth union members to participate in major campaigns, which have received a very strong response and great support from the people."
In recent years, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have regularly propagated, raised awareness and responsibility for cadres, union members and young people to actively implement the strategy of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation; strengthened the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, and fought against erroneous and hostile views. The Youth Union chapters at all levels have proactively coordinated and effectively organized propaganda and mobilized young people to register for military service examination; promoted the implementation of the campaign "Sentimentality of the border and islands" with many rich and diverse activities towards the sovereignty of the sacred borders and islands of the Fatherland. Notably, the movements "I love my Fatherland", "Young army cultivates virtue, trains talent, is proactive, creative, determined to win", "Young army reaches the peaks"; the programs "Borders and islands in my heart", "March of the border"...
Through the effective deployment and implementation of movements, the armed forces youth have promoted their core role in maintaining national security, social order and safety, and protecting the Fatherland, typically: establishing "Youth Shock Teams" to participate in activities to maintain social order and safety, prevent social evils, maintain traffic order and safety, build the model of "Youth self-management in alleys, villages and hamlets" to form the core nucleus in the mass movement to participate in protecting security and national defense in the locality. Participate in implementing the military rear policy well.
Youth Union chapters at all levels have actively implemented activities to build new rural areas, high-point volunteer campaigns, activities for social security, environmental protection, etc., encouraging cadres, union members, and young people to promote initiatives, actively conduct scientific research, increase labor productivity with many new, practical, and highly effective models and methods, contributing to the implementation of national programs and goals, solving pressing community issues, and creating a strong spread in society. Typically, the "Summer Youth Volunteer 2024" campaign was widely organized with nearly 1,000 youth volunteer teams, attracting more than 500,000 union members and young people to participate, mobilizing resources with a total value of nearly 10 billion VND. In 2024, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee deployed 75 teams with nearly 1,500 young people to support the national key project of the 500kV line 3 passing through Thanh Hoa province.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Nhat, Head of the Provincial Youth Union Movement Committee, said: "Raising the awareness and responsibility of Thanh Hoa youth for the task of ensuring national defense, security and protecting the Fatherland is a regular and continuous task of all levels and sectors. First of all, it is the close and regular leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels; the consensus and synergy of the entire political system; the efforts of all levels of the Youth Union in particular and of each Youth Union member and youth in general, contributing to firmly protecting the independence, sovereignty, unity and sacred territorial integrity of the Fatherland and building a rich, civilized and modern Thanh Hoa province".
