Dak Lak is located in the center of the Central Highlands, with an important geographical position in terms of security, politics, economy, culture and society. The province has 15 district-level administrative units, including Buon Ma Thuot city, Buon Ho town and 13 districts; the population is nearly 1.9 million people with 49 ethnic groups living together, of which ethnic minorities are more than 667,000 people, accounting for 35.7% of the province's population.
In addition to the long-standing ethnic groups such as the Ede, Mnong, and Gia Jai, there are also a large number of ethnic minorities from all regions of the country who have migrated here to settle down and their numbers have been increasing steadily over the years.
There are 4 main religions in the area, with about 608,403 followers, always actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and uniting to help each other live "Good life, good religion."
The province has more than 4,700 overseas Vietnamese living and doing business in more than 30 countries around the world, always upholding the spirit of self-respect, national pride, solidarity and mutual assistance, building a life, maintaining close relationships with family and relatives, making practical contributions and working towards building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province, said that in recent years, the security, order and social safety situation in the province has always been maintained, ensuring stability and development. However, hostile forces have increasingly carried out propaganda, enticed and enticed gullible elements of local ethnic minorities to carry out plots to oppose and sabotage the people's government with increasingly reckless, reckless, barbaric and inhumane methods (a typical example is the event that occurred on June 11 in Cu Kuin district).
Faced with the above situation, it requires all levels, sectors, agencies, units and people to always promote, build, maintain and strengthen the spirit of solidarity, heighten vigilance, promptly fight to prevent issues that risk affecting security, order and social safety in the locality.
With the core role in building the great national unity bloc, in recent times, the Party Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province have focused on leading, directing and guiding member organizations and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels to develop specific programs and work plans to continuously strengthen social consensus, consolidate the great national unity bloc in the province, promote all potentials in socio-economic development in the locality, contributing to the successful implementation of programs, plans and socio-economic development goals and ensuring national defense and political security in the Central Highlands region in general and Dak Lak province in particular.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province regularly coordinate with the government and member organizations to innovate and diversify forms of propaganda and education for cadres, party members, union members, association members, and people about the tradition of patriotism, humanity and tolerance of our nation, the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's legal documents. Thereby, building social consensus and raising citizens' sense of responsibility in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In the work of propaganda and mobilization to build great solidarity among ethnic minorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels coordinated with the authorities at the same level to organize the evaluation and honor of over 1,000 prestigious people among ethnic minorities, regularly organizing seminars to promote the role of prestigious people in socio-economic development and national security protection.
Every year, the province organizes the "National Great Unity" Festival in residential areas on the occasion of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18) to create cohesion in the residential community.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province actively mobilized religious dignitaries and officials to comply with the policy, live a "good life, good religion", accompany the nation in building and protecting the Fatherland; mobilized religions to participate in humanitarian and charitable activities to support and help the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and the destitute in the province with a total amount of tens of billions of VND.

According to Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, in recent years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has actively promoted and mobilized people from all walks of life to participate in promoting and responding well to campaigns, patriotic emulation movements, and social security programs to promote resources to successfully carry out all socio-economic development tasks of the province.
Typically, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", associated with the movement "joining hands to build new rural areas", propagates and mobilizes union members, association members and people to actively respond, participate in contributing and donating land to build new rural areas, and build pilot models for building new rural areas.
The campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" to introduce Vietnamese goods and bring Vietnamese goods to consumers, especially in remote rural areas... has brought practical results, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of the province.
Social security activities and community building have been effectively implemented through propaganda and mobilization of cadres, union members, association members and people from all walks of life to contribute to the establishment of "Gratitude Fund", "Fund for the Poor", "Relief Fund"...
The provincial Fatherland Front at all levels has received many noble gestures for the poor. In recent years, all levels in the province have mobilized hundreds of billions of VND to support the construction and repair of more than 7,700 new houses for households with housing difficulties; helped and supported over 2,500 poor households to escape poverty sustainably... Thereby contributing to reducing the poverty rate of the province from 27.55% in 2005 to 7.91% by the end of 2021.
In particular, promoting the spirit of great solidarity in the context of economic difficulties due to the impact of Covid-19, Party committees and authorities at all levels have propagated and mobilized union members, association members and people to contribute to supporting the epidemic prevention and control forces and people affected by the epidemic with the amount of money mobilized over 57.5 billion VND.
Thereby, allocating funds to agencies, units, districts, towns and cities to support participation in epidemic prevention and control and transferring funds to purchase vaccines to the Central Government, with a total budget of over 43.6 billion VND, contributing to the whole country overcoming the pandemic.
Social security activities and community building have been implemented to help those in difficult circumstances, natural disasters, and fires, demonstrating the tradition of solidarity and humanity, contributing together with the Party and government to effectively implement the national goal of sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the province.
The above results affirm the strength of great solidarity of the ethnic groups in the province in the spirit of Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated March 12, 2003 of the Party Central Committee (9th tenure) on "Promoting the strength of great national solidarity for a rich people, a strong country, a fair, democratic and civilized society"; is an important factor, contributing to gradually building Dak Lak province into a rich, beautiful, civilized and unique province, worthy of its position as the center of the Central Highlands region.
