Along with the strong development of Command 86, the Political Department has always fulfilled its assigned functions and tasks well; promptly advised, directed and effectively implemented all aspects of CTĐ and CTCT; constantly innovated the content and working methods, effectively implemented the "2 good" agency (good at research, advising, proposing; good at guiding, directing, inspecting), contributing to improving the quality of CTĐ and CTCT activities in agencies and units.

With the motto "Timely, practical, effective", the Political Department actively directs agencies and units to maintain the ideological position for cadres, employees and soldiers on KGM; regularly innovate propaganda forms to protect the Party's ideological foundation on KGM by building modern media products, such as: Short videos, infographics, political podcasts. In 2024, the Political Department directed agencies and units to actively participate and achieve high results in competitions organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, such as: "The fourth political writing competition on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in 2024", with 3 works winning the C prize at the military level; The contest to learn about the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification won 1 A prize and 1 C prize; The 10th all-army mass art festival in 2024 and the all-army young propagandist competition in 2024 both achieved excellent results. Along with that, the reporting system at the grassroots units regularly updates information from practice to propagate, educate, and raise ideological awareness for soldiers.

One of the highlights of the Political Department is that it has done a good job of guiding and directing agencies and units to promote democracy and satisfactorily answer questions that soldiers are concerned about. Thanks to that, the difficulties and concerns of soldiers in the process of performing tasks have been promptly resolved, contributing to maintaining the stability of ideology and psychology for this special working force. The Political Department always pays attention to directing agencies and units to build a truly united, healthy and disciplined working environment. This is a prerequisite for cadres, employees and soldiers to feel secure in their attachment to the unit, promote their capacity and complete their tasks well.

In the context of increasingly strong digital transformation, officers, employees and soldiers of Command 86 often come into contact with and operate independently in the cyberspace environment, which contains a lot of toxic information, distortions, enticements, bribes from hostile forces and negative impacts of the dark side of the market mechanism, affecting soldiers' ideology. In that situation, the Political Department proactively directed agencies and units to build a solid ideological posture, in order to protect the internal ideological battlefield, maintain the political mettle of the staff and employees through many forms and measures in sync with the activities of clubs, such as: Young Theory, Young Creativity, Foreign Languages... At the same time, strengthen political education and ideological orientation; promptly fight and refute wrong views; build a "mental shield" against negative impacts from cyberspace. The resolute direction of the Political Department has contributed to building a team of cadres with good expertise, professional skills, and steadfast ideological stance, becoming the core force in protecting national information security and safety. This is in line with the guiding viewpoint of the Standing Committee and Party Committee of Command 86: "Protecting the political ideology of cadres, employees, and soldiers on the KGM front is part of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation. Cadres with steadfast ideology will be proactive, creative, and steadfast in performing their tasks."

Proud of the past journey, the Political Department has always promoted its advisory function, proposed many CTĐ and CTCT activities to the Party Committee and the Command to lead, direct and guide Party committees and organizations at all levels in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile thoughts and viewpoints. At the same time, it has promoted the role of the political cadre team and information warfare force to orient ideology and public opinion in the unit; promptly directed, oriented, monitored and managed the quality of the struggle on KGM.

Cyberspace is always changing every hour, every minute, the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile viewpoints in particular and protecting national sovereignty on cyberspace in general is always fierce and silent. Therefore, more than ever, CTĐ and CTCT activities must always be a solid spiritual support for the army. Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Political Department determines to continue to effectively implement the "2 good" agency, doing well the role of both "ideological guidance" and "fire-inspirer" so that each officer, employee and soldier of Command 86 always maintains the fighting spirit on the new front.
