Youth participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation
As the "reliable reserve force of the Party", "the extended arm of the Party", Vietnamese youth is a large force, accounting for over 1/3 of the population and more than half of the current social labor force.
As a pioneering, creative force in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland, firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation is both the top priority task of youth organizations and the voluntary, regular work of generations of union members and young people in the new era.
In protecting the Party's ideological foundation, union members and youth play a particularly important role, because "youth are the backbone of the country, the future owners of the country, the vanguard force in building and defending the Fatherland, one of the decisive factors for the success of industrialization, modernization and international integration", and at the same time the force "succeeding the revolutionary cause of the Party"; moreover, hostile forces always consider youth as a special target to carry out tricks and plots of "peaceful evolution".
Therefore, promoting the role and strength of union members and young people in protecting the Party's ideological foundation is a very important and urgent task for each grassroots union organization in the current period.
The role of union members and youth in protecting the Party's ideological foundation can be summarized in the following points:
Firstly, union members and young people are the vanguard force, demonstrating initiative, creativity, positivity, determination, and uncompromising spirit in participating in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation.
Second, through the activities of the Youth Union at all levels, the Youth Union members constantly propagate and widely disseminate the revolutionary and scientific contents and values of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws to all subjects and classes in society. From there, each Youth Union member and youth is aware of their own responsibility in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, contributing to building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam with meaningful and practical actions.
Third, union members and young people have made important contributions to theoretical research and practical summaries to supplement, perfect and clarify correct theoretical issues and the everlasting values of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, and affirm that our Party's creative application in each historical stage of the country's development is completely correct.
Promoting the strength of union members and youth
It is forecasted that in the coming time, the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation will still face many difficulties and challenges. Hostile and reactionary forces will continue to relentlessly sabotage us with increasingly sophisticated, sinister, and fast-paced tricks and schemes based on the strong development of the Internet, social networks, digital technology, and multimedia communications.
Issues arising in socio-economic development; Party building and rectification; the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity; the issue of setting an example for cadres and party members, network information security in the 4.0 era, epidemic safety, food safety and hygiene... have been and are posing increasingly high, timely, and responsive requirements for the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation. To achieve this, in the coming time, it is necessary to focus on effectively implementing the following key solutions:
Firstly , continue to deploy, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Central Committee's resolutions, directives and conclusions on protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Promote the role of leaders of all levels of the Youth Union in leading and directing the implementation of this work in localities and units.
The Youth Union at all levels proactively research and organize for union members and young volunteers to participate in the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against and refute erroneous and hostile arguments; proactively advise on including this task in regular or thematic leadership resolutions of the Party Committee and in the activities of the Party organization and the Youth Union organization, closely following the practical tasks of each agency, unit and organization.
Further promote political and ideological education, foster a steadfast will to follow Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, and the ideal of national independence associated with socialism for union members and young people, raise awareness, political mettle, and the ability to resist false and hostile information and viewpoints.
Carry out well the work of protecting internal politics, fighting against manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation", improving forecasting capacity, promptly detecting and thoroughly resolving legitimate concerns and recommendations of union members and youth, not allowing hostile forces to incite, entice, and distort, causing political instability.

Second , further strengthen propaganda work in the spirit of "using beauty to eliminate ugliness", "using positivity to push back negativity", creating a communication effect to raise awareness of the good values of people, communities, and social regimes in our country; thoroughly grasp the principle of closely linking "building" and "fighting", "building" is fundamental, "fighting" must be resolute and effective, "building" goes hand in hand with "fighting", to "build" one must "fight", "fighting" aims at "building"; ensure that information and propaganda must closely follow the practical situation, with sharp and convincing arguments about the country's development achievements, the issue of building and defending the Fatherland, and the orientation of the country's political, economic and social tasks.
Innovate and diversify the content and forms of information and propaganda in a modern, youthful, easy-to-understand, close and friendly direction for young people, suitable for each target group, locality and field, creating a combined strength in protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
The content must be accurate, scientific, with sharp arguments, updated, and focused on the hot issues that hostile forces are focusing on, especially issues directly related to union members and young people today. The form of protecting the ideological foundation must be vivid, attractive, rich, and diverse to attract the attention of public opinion.
Continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of the Facebook fanpage and Zalopage of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at all levels, especially at the grassroots level, to serve the propaganda work, spread positive information, fight and refute wrong and hostile viewpoints, bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks.
Improve the effectiveness of coordination between the Youth Union and all levels and sectors in taking advantage of the positive aspects of cyberspace to effectively implement the Campaign "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week"; integrate, exploit and effectively use resources for propaganda work on good people, good deeds, good stories, and beautiful images on social networks.
Third, innovate thinking and awareness, deploy and build new models to mobilize and gather young cadres and union members to participate in the struggle, refute, and protect the Party's ideological foundation. Maintain and promote the role of the Young Theory Club in researching issues of political theory, conveying information to union members and youth, participating in refuting the distorted views and arguments of hostile forces from the perspective of youth. Each club member is a "warrior" in youth theory work, "sharp" in information, "solid" in knowledge to form a link between propaganda teams among union members and youth on social issues, promptly refute the views of hostile forces, and orient information among youth.
Fourth, build a force of union members and young people with intelligence, knowledge, courage, thinking, capacity and fighting ability in the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation. Strengthen coordination with relevant units to continue to proactively advise and organize training courses for union members and young people on political theory, especially Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, social sciences and humanities, and the fight against "peaceful evolution" by hostile forces in the new situation.
Gather, attract, mobilize, and organize union members and youth to participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation on a regular and systematic basis, thereby increasing the strength, effectiveness, and sustainability of the ideological struggle. Research and propose mechanisms, policies, and funding for material and spiritual incentives and rewards, organize meetings, exchange experiences, and encourage union members and youth to actively participate in the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation, and have many good and profound news, articles, and comments that attract the attention, agreement, and support of many people.

Fifth , each member and youth needs to promote more initiative, creativity, and positivity in the research team, identify newly emerging manifestations of erroneous and hostile viewpoints against the Party and State, and all kinds of bad and toxic information as a basis for orienting the struggle to ensure it is close, correct, accurate, and timely.
Continue to thoroughly grasp the spirit of positivity and proactiveness in studying the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, plans and projects on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and preventing bad and toxic information, fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
Regularly cultivate, train, and improve vigilance, awareness of self-protection against bad, toxic information, erroneous, hostile viewpoints, maintain ideological stance, foster a steadfast will towards revolutionary goals and ideals, and create unity in perception and action. Promote research and application of information technology in the work of detecting and combating erroneous, hostile viewpoints on the Internet and social networks in the current situation.
