On the afternoon of January 24, the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee held a meeting with the People's Council Standing Committees of districts, cities and towns to evaluate the results of coordination work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024.

Maintain regular, close coordination relationships

In 2023, with the participation of the entire political system, with high spirit and responsibility, the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee and the People's Council Standing Committees of districts, cities and towns will continue to maintain regular and close coordination in activities, contributing significantly to the recovery and development of the socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security of the country, the province and each locality.

For the National Assembly sessions, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation coordinated with the Standing Committees of People's Councils at all levels to collect opinions on law-making from relevant agencies, units and individuals; organized 6 law-making conferences; contributed opinions to 26 draft laws and many resolutions at extraordinary sessions, the 5th and 6th sessions of the 15th National Assembly.

Regarding the sessions of the Provincial People's Council, in 2023, the Provincial People's Council held 6 sessions and issued 73 resolutions. Contributing to the success of the sessions, the leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation participated in the joint conference to unify the content and program; at the same time, attended and reported the results of the National Assembly sessions and the activities of the National Assembly Delegation at the regular sessions of the Provincial People's Council for delegates and voters to study and follow.

For the sessions of the People's Council at the district level, 54 sessions of the People's Councils of districts, cities and towns were held. Of these, there were 26 regular sessions, 28 thematic sessions; 300 resolutions were issued. At the regular sessions of the localities, there were representatives of the National Assembly Delegation, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the People's Council committees and the provincial People's Council delegations elected in the localities to attend and monitor.

Regarding supervision activities, the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee and the People's Council Standing Committees of districts, cities and towns have been proactive, innovative and strengthened coordination in organizing supervision activities. During the year, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation has organized supervision and completed reports on 4 topics in 2023 and is implementing supervision on 4 topics in 2024 of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee in the province.

The Standing Committee and Committees of the Provincial People's Council have organized 5 thematic supervisions; over 70 regular supervisions and surveys and worked with units and localities on contents in the fields of economy - budget, culture - society, law - internal affairs...

For the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the People's Council committees at the district level, in 2023, 66 thematic supervisions and hundreds of regular supervisions and surveys were organized; the results of some thematic supervisions of the People's Council at the district level were sent to the National Assembly Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.

Activities of meeting voters and receiving and handling complaints, denunciations, and recommendations from citizens continue to be effectively implemented.

In 2024, the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee and the District People's Council Standing Committee will continue to coordinate to effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; continue to pay attention to improving the quality of building and promulgating mechanisms, policies and deciding on important local issues.

Concluding the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Tu Anh emphasized: In the coming time, the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee and the People's Council Standing Committees of districts, cities and towns need to strengthen coordination to perform their tasks well; focus on performing well the function of supervision and deciding on important local issues.

Actively participate and contribute to the quality of draft laws submitted to National Assembly sessions; closely coordinate with relevant agencies to collect opinions on effective law-making; focus on improving the quality of drafting and promulgating resolutions of People's Councils at all levels. Further improve the quality and effectiveness of questioning activities, select "correct and correct" questioning content, increase debate, democratic, frank and practical discussion.

Continue to innovate and improve the quality of voter contact activities; promote the role and responsibility of delegations in listening, receiving, explaining, and synthesizing voters' opinions and recommendations.
