The international conference "Promoting the value of UNESCO titles for sustainable development in Vietnam" is scheduled to be held in Ninh Binh province from July 2-4.
The conference was organized by the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO and the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province to summarize and evaluate the practice of preserving and promoting the UNESCO title for sustainable development in Vietnam; share and refer to international experiences in preserving and promoting the UNESCO title for sustainable development; propose solutions to mobilize resources and people's participation; and make recommendations for preserving and promoting the UNESCO title for sustainable development in Vietnam.

The conference is expected to be attended by senior leaders of the Party, State, leaders of UNESCO, leaders of UNESCO National Commissions of several countries in the Asia- Pacific region, leaders of ministries, branches, provinces, cities and localities with UNESCO titles, along with 200 delegates who are domestic and international experts and scholars.
The conference will affirm Vietnam's position in the region and the world as a country with great potential and opportunities for sustainable development, improving the quality of life, meeting social needs, ensuring the preservation and promotion of cultural and natural heritages and traditional values for sustainable development.
The organization of the conference also contributes to promoting and introducing the potential, strengths, world cultural and natural heritage of Ninh Binh province; raising awareness and responsibility of the community, promoting the preservation of cultural and natural heritages of Vietnam in particular and the world in general.
