Detecting and handling 25 violations in the field of e-commerce

According to information from the Market Management Department (QLTT) of Quang Tri , from the beginning of 2024 to now, the Market Management force has inspected, detected and handled 25 violations in the field of e-commerce; administratively sanctioned violations with a total amount of over 357 million VND; confiscated and forced to destroy goods worth over 354 million VND. The main violations are trading in smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin, goods infringing intellectual property rights...

According to the assessment of the authorities, the current situation of trading and selling prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, goods that infringe intellectual property rights, and goods of unknown origin on websites and social networking sites (Facebook, Tiktok, Zalo...) has been and is having a great impact on the business environment, as well as the rights of consumers.

Faced with this situation, the Quang Tri Market Management Force will continue to coordinate with relevant units to strengthen inspection and control of business activities in the field of e-commerce in order to promptly and strictly handle violations.

On the other hand, it will continue to promote propaganda and dissemination of policies and laws to business establishments; proactively receive and process information from consumers and businesses about violations by production and business organizations and individuals; examine, verify information or monitor organizations and individuals showing signs of violations in business activities on e-commerce platforms.
