15-year-old girl's body found under Joong village reservoir

On the afternoon of April 20, Mr. Truong Cong Thien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Kpam commune, Cu M'gar district, said that the body of a 15-year-old girl had just been discovered in the Joong reservoir.

According to initial information, on the afternoon of April 19, the local authorities of Ea Kpam commune received a report from the family of Mr. H.D.L (residing in Quang Tien commune) about the discovery of a motorbike and sandals of his daughter HMK (born 2010) at the Joong reservoir, so they and the family organized a search.

At around 7am on April 20, the search team discovered HMK’s body floating on the lake’s surface. Immediately afterwards, Ea Kpam Commune Police coordinated with the provincial police department to conduct a crime scene investigation and autopsy. The initial cause of death was suspected to be suicide.

HMK's body has been handed over to his family for burial.
