Recently, some people in Dak R'lap district (Dak Nong) received invitations to go to the tax office to work.
Specifically, on June 19, Ms. LTAV residing in Quang Thanh village, Dao Nghia commune (Dak R'lap district) received a working invitation with the content of updating and declaring information on regulations on value-added tax reduction policy according to Resolution No. 110/2023/QH15 and personal income tax refund policy. The inviting unit is the Dak R'lap district Tax Department.
On June 21, Mr. Tran Van Nhan, residing in residential group 1, Kien Duc town (Dak R'lap district) also received an invitation with similar content.
Realizing that there were many irregularities, Ms. V. and Mr. Nhan sent the above invitations to the Dak R'lap - Tuy Duc Regional Tax Department for inspection.
The results showed that the above invitations were fake, had incorrect document format, many spelling mistakes, and the name of the Deputy Director of the Department - the person who signed the invitation and the seal were incorrect.
Speaking to VietNamNet reporters on the morning of June 26, Mr. Thai Huu Nghi, Head of the Dak R'lap-Tuy Duc Tax Department, confirmed that people had received invitations to work at the tax office. However, these invitations were completely fake.
According to Mr. Nghi, the inviting unit's name of Dak R'lap District Tax Department is incorrect because the actual name is Dak R'lap - Tuy Duc Regional Tax Department.
On the other hand, the person who signed the invitation was Pham Hai Duong - Deputy Head of the Tax Department, but this person's name was not listed in the Dak R'lap - Tuy Duc Tax Department.
"The unit has issued a warning to people that if they see strange calls or unusual invitations related to the tax sector, they should report to the authorities," said Mr. Nghi.
According to Mr. Dinh Vu Anh, Deputy Director of the Dak Nong Provincial Tax Department, this agency has directed the regional tax branches to issue warnings to people to avoid being scammed by scammers.
Impersonation scams are 'blooming' in cyberspace and are becoming more and more sophisticated . Although the form is not new, impersonation scams are still causing many people in Vietnam and around the world to fall into traps and have their property stolen.
