Detecting many criminals from "magic eyes" around wholesale markets

From security cameras or "magic eyes" around wholesale markets in Ho Chi Minh City, the police have discovered and arrested many criminals.

On September 25, Ho Chi Minh City Police said that from the "magic eyes" installed around wholesale markets in the area, many criminals have been detected and arrested.

The police have installed 210 "magic eyes" in the area around Binh Dien wholesale market and Thu Duc wholesale market. Of these, there are 136 cameras in Thu Duc wholesale market and 74 cameras in Binh Dien wholesale market.

From the above "magic eyes", the authorities discovered 8 subjects doing business around the markets testing positive for drugs; 1 case of trading in smuggled goods; destroyed 3 gambling dens around the market area; and administratively punished 17 people.

At the same time, 5 criminal cases were discovered and handled. Including 1 case of abuse of trust to appropriate property, 1 case of intentional injury, 2 cases of gambling, 1 case of loan sharking. The authorities imposed an administrative fine of nearly 60 million VND and destroyed 1 ton of Chinese apples.

In addition, traffic police also detected and recorded nearly 1,900 cases of illegal stopping and parking; imposed fines of more than 1.7 billion VND; and temporarily detained 15 three- and four-wheeled vehicles and many other vehicles.
