Many suspected human skeletons discovered in a cave in Nghe An

Authorities in Nghe An are blocking off a cave in the Len Chua area (Nghia Thanh commune, Nghia Dan district) after discovering many suspected human skeletons there.

On the evening of April 23, the leader of the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district (Nghe An) said that the authorities were protecting the area where many skeletons suspected to be human were discovered in the Len Chua area, bordering Nghia Thanh and Nghia Hung communes.

At around 1:30 p.m. the same day, people entering the Len Chua area discovered many skeletons suspected to be human, so they reported it to the authorities.

Upon receiving the report, Nghia Thanh Commune Police arrived at the scene. Afterwards, the police recorded 2 skulls and some bones. When going deeper into the cave, they discovered many more skeletons. However, the exact number has not been determined.

At about 3:30 p.m., forces from the Nghia Dan District Military Command and Regiment 26 (Ministry of National Defense) arrived to inspect the scene.

The Nghia Dan District Military Command said that the area where many skeletons were discovered is not under the management of national defense land, but is part of the planned reserve land for national defense purposes.

Currently, Nghia Thanh Commune Police are coordinating with functional forces to protect the scene, waiting for instructions from Nghia Dan District People's Committee to take the next steps.
