On May 30, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Nong province announced the results of the excavation of the archaeological site in village 12 (Dak Sin commune, Dak R'lap district, Dak Nong province).
Previously, in early May 2023, Dak Nong Provincial Museum coordinated with the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology to excavate the archaeological site in village 12. Thereby, a large number of pottery pieces with 6,300 pieces were discovered. The pottery at the village 12 site has an average thickness of 0.5-0.8cm, the rough black ceramic bone has a high proportion of plant residue, both sides are smooth, the inner and outer mouths are gray-black with a leaden sheen...
From the initial results, it is shown that the above area is an archaeological site, a place of residence and livelihood of primitive residents of the Late Neolithic - Early Metal Age period, dating from 3,500-3,000 years ago.
