There were discovered cases of renting and buying social housing for the wrong people at the hottest social housing apartment building in Bien Hoa.

In the morning, the inspection team divided into 6 groups inspected more than 700 apartments in 4 social housing blocks: A1, A2, B1, B2, Quang Vinh ward, managed and operated by Dong Nai Housing Business Joint Stock Company.

Deputy Head of the inspection team Dao Quoc Tuan said that through the inspection of 2 projects (on April 19, the inspection of the A6-A7 Social Housing Project in Quang Vinh Ward), the team found that there were some cases of improper use, encroachment on corridors and common spaces affecting fire prevention and fighting. Some cases have returned houses and apartments that are left empty. Some households reported being absent, the team requested the investor to continue to review and inspect to report to the team.

During the inspection, the delegation also reminded and advised residents living in the project to comply with the law on social housing and not to re-rent; if they do not need it, they should return the rented house to arrange accommodation for those in need. For the apartment building management board and project investors, they must comply with the regulations on management and operation, and fire prevention and fighting regulations.

In the coming days, the delegation will continue to inspect 3 other social housing projects in Bien Hoa city. The purpose is to strengthen state management of social housing projects; ensure state management in implementing legal regulations on management, use, rental, hire-purchase and purchase of social housing. Thereby contributing to rectifying the management and use of social housing in the province in general, in Bien Hoa city in particular, ensuring the right purpose and objects according to the provisions of law.

After the inspection, the delegation will report to the Department of Construction for timely correction. For cases of inspection of the wrong subject or absentee, the delegation will request the investor to provide documents, in case of wrong user, the delegation will propose to reclaim the house and handle it according to regulations. In addition, for apartments that the tenants have voluntarily returned the house, the delegation also requests the investor and the management and operation unit to report back so that the right person can rent it.

In the coming time, the Department of Construction Inspectorate will advise the Department of Construction to establish inspection teams and coordinate with localities to conduct inspections of other social housing projects in the province.
