Previously, officers and soldiers of Infantry Battalion 42, Infantry Regiment 996, while digging land to increase production in Dung Cam residential area, Viet Trung Farm town (Bo Trach district), discovered a large bomb.

After receiving the information, the Provincial Military Command sent specialized agencies to coordinate in setting up barriers to protect the scene, placing signs warning of dangerous areas, and organizing 24/7 security. At the same time, they coordinated with the Vietnam Peace Trees Organization in Quang Binh to survey the current situation.

After surveying, it was found that this was a powerful bomb, with an intact fuse, and located in an area where the military unit was stationed, so the Provincial Military Command decided to move the bomb to the T92 demolition site and organize the demolition to ensure proper procedures and absolute safety.
