On April 14, information from the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, the unit has just coordinated with the British - Vietnamese cave exploration team, to conduct a survey and discover 22 new caves in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park area and Minh Hoa and Tuyen Hoa districts (Quang Binh).
During the survey last March, the expedition recorded 22 new caves and 3 additional survey caves with a total length of 3,550m.

The surveyed caves are 30-572m long, 46-550m high, and 32-154m deep. Among them are Va Cave (516m), 12/2 Dry Cave (404m), Vuc Hung Cave (430m), Ong Dau Cave (572m)...
The newly discovered caves are only within the scope of research to access, determine location, and describe in advance. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct in-depth surveys and research to clarify their value, thereby making accurate judgments in the conservation and sustainable exploitation of landscapes and caves.
The recognition of 22 more caves in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and surrounding areas is of great significance in clarifying the outstanding geological, geomorphological and hydrological values; and is also a valuable resource for tourism development in Quang Binh.
