To contribute to propaganda and promotion to promote data management and exploitation activities in the digital environment to serve socio-economic development, today, October 10, on the occasion of National Digital Transformation Day, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued a set of postage stamps "National Digital Data Year".
The postage stamp set "National Digital Data Year" costs 4,000 VND.
The stamp set was designed by artist Le Khanh Vuong (Vietnam Post Corporation), including 1 square stamp measuring 37 x 37 mm, priced at 4,000 VND, and will be available on the postal network from October 10, 2023 to June 30, 2025.
The stamp set is designed with the idea of focusing on the content of developing a database based on a digital platform to ensure consistency. The artist used the main color of orange-yellow, with the meaning of bringing a sense of trust, prestige and security. The numbers 0 and 1 (binary language) are designed with an upward arrow to represent growth thanks to digital technology.
On the stamp, the image of 6 moving curves surrounding the digital sphere symbolizes 6 continents in the world integrating and developing in the 4th industrial revolution; the diagram connecting the word Vietnam with the digital transformation logo means that Vietnam is firmly on the path of digital transformation.
Vietnam is one of the first countries in the world to issue a strategic program on national digital transformation, making Vietnam a country with digital transformation awareness on par with advanced countries in the world.
From 2022, the Prime Minister has decided to take October 10 every year as National Digital Transformation Day, thereby promoting to the entire population the importance and benefits of the overall and comprehensive change process of each individual and organization in the way of life, work and production methods based on digital technology.
The Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, has identified 2023 as the National Digital Data Year with the theme "Creating and exploiting digital data to create value", with key tasks being digitization, construction, connection, and sharing of data between ministries, branches, and localities; protecting personal data; exploiting and using data to increasingly better serve people and businesses.
This year's National Digital Transformation Day on October 10 has a theme associated with the National Digital Data Year, which is "Harnessing digital data to create value".
The activities held on October 10 and October aim to accelerate the implementation of national digital transformation tasks, effectively implement the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030; contribute to raising awareness of the whole society about the role, significance and benefits of digital transformation; promote the participation of the entire political system, synchronous actions at all levels and the participation of the entire population to ensure the success of digital transformation.
