Launching the preliminary round of the Thanh Hoa Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025

On March 15, 2017, the Prime Minister approved the Project “Developing reading culture in the community until 2020, with a vision to 2030”. After the Project was approved by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) signed decisions approving the implementation plan of the Project “Developing reading culture in the community until 2020, with a vision to 2030”, and at the same time launched the Reading Culture Ambassador contest nationwide from 2019.

Mr. Le Van Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest spoke at the ceremony.

Responding to the Reading Culture Ambassador contest organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the preliminary round of the contest, attracting the participation of a large number of students, the attention of parents and teachers. After 4 times of organizing the preliminary round (from 2021-2024), it has attracted more than 119,161 contestants, the number of contestants has increased sharply with each organization, partly affirming the influence of the contest.

The Thanh Hoa province reading culture ambassador contest in 2025 aims to continue to maintain, promote and spread the contest to all students of primary, secondary and high schools in the province.

At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Library donated 206 books to Hoang Trach Primary School (Hoang Trach commune), with a total value of over 10 million VND.

On this occasion, the Provincial Library organized a Reading Festival for students of Hoang Trach Primary School. Thereby, it introduced to the students and teachers of the school 4,500 copies of books including reference books, stories, entertainment books, books about the sea, islands, literature books... Along with that, it displayed 50 excellent entries that won prizes in previous competitions.

The book festival creates an exciting atmosphere for students.

In order for the contest to complete its objectives and achieve quality, the Organizing Committee requests agencies, units, localities, and units to accompany and implement the plan on schedule and with the set quality. At the same time, strengthen coordination between levels and sectors to promote and attract a large number of contestants to participate in the contest.
