Launching the emulation movement "Joining hands to build new rural areas" for the period 2021-2025

On April 9, in Thuan Nam district, the Provincial People's Committee held a launching ceremony for the emulation movement "Joining hands to build new rural areas" for the period 2021-2025.

Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Tran Minh Luc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Van Binh, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Lam Dong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Chamaléa Thi Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board; Chau Thi Thanh Ha, Secretary of the Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Party Committee; Phan Tan Canh, Secretary of the Ninh Hai District Party Committee; comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches, and localities.

After more than 13 years of implementing the new rural construction, especially after more than 3 years of implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction for the period 2021-2025, the Party Committees, authorities at all levels and people in the province have joined hands, unanimously and actively implemented the new rural construction program. Up to now, the whole province has 2 districts meeting the new rural standards; 32/47 communes meeting the new rural standards, of which 12 communes have met the advanced new rural standards; 79 villages have met the new rural village standards, of which 6 villages have met the model new rural village standards.

Provincial leaders witnessed the signing of the emulation covenant.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The province's goal by 2025 is to have at least 4 districts meeting the new rural standards, of which at least 1 district meets the advanced new rural standards and 1 district basically meets the advanced new rural standards; at least 38 communes meeting the new rural standards, of which at least 15 communes meet the advanced new rural standards and 5 communes meet the model new rural standards; there are no more communes with less than 15 criteria according to the set of criteria for the period 2021-2025; 85% of villages meeting the new rural standards according to the new rural criteria, of which 5% of villages meeting the model new rural standards; bringing the National Target Program on new rural construction increasingly into depth, bringing practical benefits. To achieve the above goals, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested: The Front, associations, unions, departments, branches, and localities focus on promoting and innovating propaganda work in a regular, continuous, practical manner and integrating the movement to build new rural areas with the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" along with other emulation movements in the area. Mobilize and effectively use resources to build new rural areas. Focus on restructuring the agricultural sector, developing the rural economy, small-scale industry and services towards a circular economy...; effectively build and develop concentrated raw material areas; promote the application of scientific and technological advances in agricultural production; effectively implement OCOP programs, rural tourism development programs... Focus on building and consolidating the system of political-social organizations, national defense and security; Continue to consolidate and build a strong Party and grassroots government; promote the role of the Front and political and social organizations at all levels, build a united bloc from the province to the grassroots to create a combined strength to successfully implement the new rural construction program in the province.

At the ceremony, leaders of districts, cities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development signed an emulation agreement to build new rural areas.
