The Gia Vien Art Photography Contest and Exhibition 2024 with the theme "Gia Vien Land and People" aims to introduce and reflect the unique beauty of the natural landscape, cultural identity, and people of Gia Vien, thereby promoting and advertising the image of the district to friends and tourists inside and outside the district.
At the same time, select photos of Gia Vien that show the beauty and characteristics of nature, culture and people of Gia Vien, serving propaganda work and serving the political tasks, economic development, culture, society and foreign affairs of the district.

In addition, through the contest and exhibition, photographers are encouraged, motivated and honored to create many new works of value in content and art, expressing the beauty and characteristics of nature, culture and people of Gia Vien, contributing to promoting creative activities and promoting literary and artistic works in the district.
The Gia Vien Art Photography Contest and Exhibition 2024 will be widely deployed, with participants including professional and amateur photographers in Ninh Binh province and other provinces and cities across the country.
According to the rules, the entries must be taken in Gia Vien district, with content reflecting the beauty of truth, goodness and beauty in all areas of social life, in the construction and development of the economy, culture and society; beautiful images of natural landscapes, historical relics, scenic spots, unique traditional folk festivals, folk performances and performances; the beauty of traditional craft villages and crafts, the beauty of the people's spiritual and cultural life in preserving and promoting national cultural identity; cultural, artistic, sports and tourism activities.
Entries are encouraged to be new, closely follow the theme of the contest, and must not reflect content that is contrary to good customs and traditions, not contrary to national and ethnic interests, and not violate the provisions of the law.
Works that have won Gold, Silver, Bronze awards at national and regional levels organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and works that have won awards at international competitions are not eligible to participate in the competition. The Organizing Committee encourages authors whose works have won awards at photography competitions to submit their works for the Organizing Committee to select for exhibition in this competition.

Contest photos can be single photos or photo series, color photos or black and white photos, digital files with capacity from 5Mb - 8Mb, resolution 300dpi, JPG format.
In which, single photo is each photo is a work. Photo series includes each photo series is considered a work, including 05 - 08 photos. The author must design and arrange the photos in the series into a complete work. The photo series is encouraged to have a caption introducing the content of the photo series. The caption content must not exceed 100 words. In case the author submits a photo to the contest including both single photo and photo series, the single photo must not overlap with the photo in the series. Each author has the right to submit a maximum of 10 works to the contest.
The Organizing Committee receives photos from authors participating in the contest via the address: [email protected]. Time for receiving photos from the launch date to September 30, 2024. Time for selecting and judging photos in October 2024.
Regarding the award structure, the Organizing Committee of the Gia Vien Art Photography Contest and Exhibition 2024 will award 01 First prize, 02 Second prizes, 03 Third prizes and 05 Consolation prizes with a total prize value of up to more than 40 million VND.
Regarding the selection of works for exhibition, the Organizing Committee plans to select 100 works including single photos and photo series (including award-winning photos) to organize exhibitions, print books, and print photo postcards (the number of selected works may change depending on the quantity and quality of works participating in the contest).
The award ceremony and photo exhibition are scheduled for November 2024 at Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve, Gia Van Commune, Gia Vien District.
