The contest is open to Vietnamese citizens living, studying and working nationwide, with priority given to ethnic minorities in the Mekong Delta region. The contest aims to inspire creativity, contributing to spreading the cultural values of ethnic groups in the Mekong Delta region. At the same time, it aims to exploit the cultural depth and rich life of the ethnic groups: Khmer, Hoa, Cham... contributing to preserving, promoting and popularizing the identities of ethnic groups, and finding potential creative factors in this field.
The contest accepts entries in two categories: short stories and literary essays. Short stories must be between 4,000 and 5,000 words long and literary essays must be between 3,000 and 4,000 words long, both must be new works, unpublished in any form, including on social networks. Each author can submit multiple works but only use 1 real name or 1 pen name.
Entries should be sent to the email address: [email protected], by March 1, 2026. The contest is expected to be concluded and awards presented on the occasion of the Khmer New Year Chol Chnam Thmay in 2026.
