The Reading Culture Ambassador Contest was jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training since 2021. After 3 times of organization, the contest attracted many contestants. The Provincial Organizing Committee awarded 127 prizes in the preliminary round. Among the national entries, in 2021, it won 1 consolation prize; in 2022, it won 1 C prize, 2 consolation prizes and 1 thematic prize; in 2024, it won 1 consolation prize.

The contest aims to affirm the important role and good values ​​of reading culture in improving people's ability to access information and knowledge, especially developing thinking, creativity, arousing the will, aspiration, and determination to develop a prosperous and happy country for the young generation. The contest is also an opportunity to exchange and share experiences in reading and developing a reading culture, thereby encouraging and promoting the reading movement in schools and communities, forming habits and improving reading skills for students.

This year, the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is held across the province for primary, secondary and high school students. The questions are newly developed to promote the thinking ability and creativity of each group of contestants. Contest entries must be in Vietnamese or video clips, with English subtitles and information technology applications encouraged.

The Organizing Committee encourages contestants to choose new books with high educational content, current events, books that are officially and legally published in Vietnam and especially pay attention to copyright issues when using audio and illustrative images for the contest entry.

At the provincial preliminary round, the Organizing Committee will award 37 prizes including: 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 9 third prizes, 15 consolation prizes and 4 collective prizes.

The time for submitting provincial-level entries is from the launch date to June 25, 2025. The Organizing Committee will mark and submit entries for the national final round before July 15, 2025. It is expected that by the end of October 2025, the contest will be concluded and the National Reading Culture Ambassador will be honored in Hoa Lu city, Ninh Binh province.
