Launching the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest of Hai Duong Province

Deputy Director of Hai Duong Departmentof Education and Training Do Duy Hung, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest launched the contest.

On the morning of April 21, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training jointly launched the Hai Duong Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 at Le Quy Don Secondary School (Hai Duong City).

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Do Duy Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong , Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest emphasized that in the context of increasingly developing society, information technology is exploding with countless forms of modern entertainment, the arousal and preservation of reading culture is becoming more urgent.

Therefore, the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is not just a contest, but also a journey to find and spread young faces with a deep love for books and knowledge; ambassadors who contribute to reviving and strongly developing reading culture in schools and the whole society.

The contest is a meaningful playground, spreading the love of books and arousing a passion for reading in the young generation.

The Hai Duong Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 will be held in schools in April and May and divided into 2 age groups. Group 1 is for primary and secondary school students. Group 2 is for high school students and university students. The new point this year is to expand to university students.

To participate in the contest, students choose 1 of 2 topics related to books, characters in their favorite books, and present their own experiences and initiatives to develop their reading culture and spread it in the community. Students can express their ideas in the form of writing or video recording, but must fully answer the questions in the contest. Each school can choose 6 excellent entries to submit to the contest.

A performance by students

Submission period is from June 1 to 7; judging period is from June 9 to 21. The provincial final and award ceremony is expected to take place in July 2025. The organizing committee will select the 6 best entries to participate in the national final round. The national final and award ceremony will be held in Ninh Binh, expected to take place at the end of October 2025.

The 2024 Hai Duong Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest has 2 individuals winning excellent prizes, 4 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 8 third prizes, 24 consolation prizes and 4 thematic prizes.
