Speaking at the program, Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, shared: Entering the 2024-2025 school year, while hundreds and thousands of villages had not yet had time to resound with singing, and notebooks had not yet finished the first page, storm No. 3 hit. Up to today, after 21 days of the strongest storm in 30 years making landfall in Vietnam, dozens of students in many villages in the northern mountainous region of our country have had their beautiful dreams ended; hundreds of students have had their smiles unfinished and thousands of students cannot be filled with joy. "Right now, when you are preparing to enter a new school week, there are still many of your peers who have not been able to return to school," journalist Phung Cong Suong emotionally said.

Responding to the call of the Central Youth Union, the Ministry of Education and Training, with the support of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, today, at the traditional Cau Giay Secondary School, Tien Phong newspaper launched the program "With Tien Phong, we help you go to school", to continue to promote the spirit of "mutual love", towards people affected by the recent storm and flood.

“We believe that, with the program “With Tien Phong, we help you go to school”, in the not too distant future, the laughter of students will once again fill the villages that have just experienced unforgettable moments”, journalist Phung Cong Suong affirmed.

Within the framework of the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee immediately received a lot of support, including: 14,000 personal accident insurance cards for students in mountainous areas worth 300 million VND; Tam Tai Viet Fund donated 500 million VND to support 5 schools to purchase teaching equipment in Lao Cai province; Departments of Education and Training and schools donated more than 1.1 billion VND.

According to the plan, the Organizing Committee will use the money raised in the program "With Tien Phong, help children go to school" plus the remaining nearly 2 billion VND of the program "Join hands to overcome the consequences of storm Yagi" to set up savings books for orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances in localities affected by storm No. 3.

In addition, the program will also give 14,000 accident insurance cards to students in mountainous provinces and provide equipment to schools affected by storms and floods to rebuild classrooms.
