On the afternoon of January 5, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) held a ceremony to launch the 2024 working theme and the contest "Application of information technology in organizing Union activities", and the contest "Composing songs about Vietnamese Women and Mothers".
The launching ceremony was held online at 63 Women's Union connection points in provinces and cities across the country.
At the Ninh Binh provincial bridge, the launching ceremony was attended by leaders of the provincial Women's Union; representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches; representatives of the Women's Unions of districts and cities.
Accordingly, the 2024 contest "Application of information technology in organizing association activities" is an activity to concretize the breakthrough that the Resolution of the 13th National Women's Congress has set out "Innovation in the operation methods of the Association, focusing on the application of information technology" and implementing the theme of 2024 "Promoting the application of information technology in association activities". The contest is organized to raise awareness and skills of association officials at all levels on the application of information technology in organizing association activities at branches and groups; promote the creativity of association officials at all levels and mobilize the active participation of members in innovating the form of organizing activities. Through the contest, good, creative and easy-to-apply solutions are found to disseminate and replicate in order to improve and enhance the quality of association activities.
The contest will take place nationwide from January 5 and will be announced and awarded on May 18, 2024. Participants are Union officials, members, and honorary members of the Vietnam Women's Union. Contest entries include products and solutions applying information technology to promote and improve the quality of members' lives. The criteria for evaluating contest entries are based on factors such as novelty, uniqueness; practicality; effectiveness; dissemination; and attractiveness.
Also at the ceremony, the Vietnam Women's Union in collaboration with the Vietnam Literature and Arts Association and the Vietnam Musicians Association launched the "Songwriting Contest about Vietnamese Women and Mothers". The contest was launched nationwide to search for new songs composed in popular musical styles, encouraging songs in the youth and modern music genres, reaching out to young people. The songs praise the love of Vietnamese women and mothers for their family, homeland and country; praise traditional qualities and new-age qualities; praise godmothers who care for and raise orphans with a tolerant and sharing heart...
