The Women's Union of Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province has just organized a communication campaign "Preventing domestic violence, building a safe living environment for women and children" in Linh Truong commune.

The program took place with many exciting, practical activities spreading in the community such as propagating the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention, presenting skits, performing arts, exchanging with people about the contents of the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention, conveying communication messages..., attracting the attention of many people.

Thereby, calling for the participation of the whole community in preventing acts of violence and abuse against women and children; contributing to the implementation of the goal of gender equality and solving urgent problems for women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Linh Truong commune, with the message "End violence, foster love".

This is the opening event for a series of activities of the Gio Linh District Women's Union in Linh Truong commune within the framework of implementing Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" in 2024.

In the coming time, Gio Linh District Women's Union will continue to closely follow the goals and tasks of Project 8 to closely coordinate with departments, branches and organizations at all levels; promote and diversify forms of propaganda such as organizing competitions, dialogues, forums, exchanges, training, etc. to raise awareness for people in Linh Truong commune, contributing to the implementation of gender equality goals, solving urgent problems for women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; promptly detect and remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.
