Despite efforts by local authorities and law enforcement agencies to address the issue, the re-encroachment and violation of traffic safety corridors in front of Cuong Gian market (Nghi Xuan - Ha Tinh ) still occurs at certain times.
Today (April 28), the People's Committee of Nghi Xuan district issued a document responding to the content of the Ha Tinh online newspaper's report on traffic safety issues at Cuong Gian market.
On April 13, 2023, Ha Tinh Online Newspaper published an article titled "Traffic safety issues arise as market encroaches on the road in Nghi Xuan," reflecting on the situation at Cuong Gian Market, located on the DT.547 road, which experiences heavy traffic while vendors spill onto the road to conduct their business.
Following the information received from Ha Tinh Newspaper, the People's Committee of Nghi Xuan District directed the District Police and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cuong Gian Commune to address the issues reflected in the online edition of Ha Tinh Newspaper in Document No. 1480/UBND-KT&HT dated April 14, 2023; at the same time, it requested the investor and relevant units and localities to strengthen state management at the market and accelerate the progress of investment and construction of the new market according to the approved investment policy in Document No. 1501/UBND-KT&HT dated April 17, 2023 of the People's Committee of Nghi Xuan District.
To date, according to the report of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cuong Gian commune in Document No. 105/BC-UBND dated April 27, 2023, the commune government has coordinated with the Traffic Police Team of the district police to organize 8 campaigns to clear the traffic safety corridor, confiscate 9 advertising signs encroaching on the corridor, and handle 7 cases of illegal market activities. However, the situation of re-encroachment and violations of the traffic safety corridor still occurs at certain times.
Following feedback from Ha Tinh Newspaper and a directive from Nghi Xuan district, Cuong Gian commune launched an operation to clear traffic corridors and address the encroachment of roads and sidewalks for business purposes at Cuong Gian market.
Therefore, in the coming period, the District People's Committee will continue to direct relevant departments and agencies, and the People's Committee of Cuong Gian commune to strengthen inspection and supervision of business activities at the market, decisively and strictly handle violations of traffic safety regulations; at the same time, rectify the work of ensuring environmental hygiene, food safety, and fire prevention at the market; and urge Hoang Duong Aquaculture Production and Farming Joint Stock Company to accelerate the construction progress of Cuong Gian market, so that it can soon be put into operation to meet the business and trading needs of the people.
