It is known that before implementing this project, according to regulations, the business owners who were granted mineral exploitation licenses installed cameras and some weighing stations for self-monitoring, but the data was not connected to the general monitoring software of the Department of Agriculture and Environment. Therefore, there were times when there were still mines operating in the province that did not comply with regulations.
This project has been implemented since the end of last year, with the aim of building a new central monitoring software located at the Department of Agriculture and Environment, connected to the weighing stations and camera systems of all licensed mines. Thereby, the Department will closely monitor mineral exploitation activities remotely.
The weighing station is installed at the land leveling mine in Minh Duc commune, Viet Yen town. |
The total cost of the project is over VND2.55 billion from the state budget. Accordingly, the new software allows connection and integration of data at mines with the central system via the Internet, monitoring output and mining activities through weighing stations, cameras; and the number of vehicles entering and leaving the mine.
It is known that the whole province currently has about 50 mines licensed to exploit minerals, mainly land leveling and clay, which are required to install weighing stations and surveillance cameras. To date, all mines have installed cameras, but only 30 mines have installed weighing stations. The remaining mines are either inactive or not yet in operation.
Mining activities are monitored through camera systems. |
To implement the above project, after reviewing, the Department has directed the specialized department to coordinate with the contractor to guide 17 mineral exploitation enterprises to fully invest in necessary equipment; upgrade the operating system for the server to be ready to connect data interconnection by April this year.
For the remaining mines when they come into operation, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to require data connection with software located at the Department to monitor mineral exploitation activities, promptly warn and prevent violations.
