Members of the Journalists' Association's emulation cluster in the northern mountainous provinces signed an emulation agreement for 2024.
In 2023, the activities of the Journalists' Associations in the northern mountainous provinces showed many innovations and proactive approaches in planning, monitoring the situation of members, and focusing on professional training and development.
Provincial Journalists' Associations organize and co-organize journalism awards, creating a platform for journalists and members to learn and exchange professional expertise; they also organize cultural, artistic, and sports activities, contributing to increased solidarity and cohesion among members and journalists.
The cluster of Journalists' Associations in the northern mountainous provinces has always upheld the tradition of solidarity, innovation, and creativity in implementing emulation movements, linking them with the fulfillment of political and professional tasks, creating positive changes in the Association's activities. In implementing the 2023 emulation movement, the Journalists' Associations in the cluster continue to promote the implementation of Directive No. 43 of the Party Central Committee on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists' Association in the new situation".
To bring about a significant transformation in the quality of the organization's activities and to implement the Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Provincial Civil Servants' Union, and the Provincial Federation of Labor; to launch patriotic emulation movements among all cadres, civil servants, and workers in the agency.
The Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association handed over the role of Head of the Emulation Cluster for 2024 to the Lang Son Provincial Journalists Association.
In 2024, the Northern Mountainous Provinces Journalists' Association Emulation Cluster will continue to focus on training and fostering political and professional skills, improving the ethics of journalists, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members; advising on the successful organization of the Provincial Journalism Awards, and organizing specialized and thematic journalism awards at the local level; improving the quality of content and format of the Association's Special Publications and Newsletters. It will also organize the 2024 Year of the Dragon Spring Press Festival and participate in the 2024 National Press Festival organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association.
Based on the achievements and results obtained in 2023, at the conference, the Emulation Cluster unanimously proposed that the Vietnam Journalists Association award the Emulation Flag to the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association; and Certificates of Merit to the Journalists Associations of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces. At the same time, through the signing of the emulation agreement for 2024, the Thai Nguyen Journalists Association handed over the role of Head of the Emulation Cluster of Journalists Associations of the Northern mountainous provinces for 2024 to the Lang Son Provincial Journalists Association.
