The demolition must be completed before January 15, 2025.

The People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has ordered Mr. Cao Thanh Sang, the owner of the illegally constructed villa spanning hundreds of square meters in Tanh Linh district, to demolish it before January 15, 2025.

On December 26th, information from the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province indicated that the provincial leadership had sent a document to the Department of Construction and the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district regarding the handling of the illegal construction project of Mr. Cao Thanh Sang, residing in Hamlet 1, Gia An commune, Tanh Linh district.

The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Construction to take the lead in coordinating with other departments, agencies, and localities to guide the People's Committee of Tánh Linh district in completing the procedures and documents for handling the construction of the villa that violates construction regulations.

Tánh Linh District is urgently reviewing and finalizing the construction violation file of Mr. Cao Thanh Sang, based on feedback from the Department of Construction, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Justice, and the Provincial Police, to report to the Provincial People's Committee before January 1, 2025.

"This notice informs Mr. Cao Thanh Sang that he must complete the demolition of the aforementioned construction violating building regulations by January 15, 2025. After the demolition deadline, if Mr. Cao Thanh Sang fails to comply, enforcement will be carried out according to the law. Simultaneously, we will monitor and direct the demolition process of Mr. Cao Thanh Sang's building and report weekly to the Provincial People's Committee on this matter," the official document stated.

The exterior of the illegally constructed villa has not yet been demolished by the homeowner.

According to the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Tánh Linh district, in early December, the district People's Committee leaders held a meeting to review the administrative violation records in the construction sector concerning Mr. Cao Thanh Sang, residing in Hamlet 1, Gia An commune.

To date, Mr. Cao Thanh Sang's voluntary demolition of the illegal structure has been delayed compared to the initial commitment. The homeowner has not only failed to continue dismantling the illegal parts, but has also used corrugated iron sheets to surround the structure.

Through numerous attempts, local authorities have invited Mr. Sang for direct meetings 11 times. However, the homeowner has still not fulfilled his commitment.

Mr. Cao Thanh Sang's villa, located in Hamlet 1, Gia An Commune, sits on a sprawling estate of thousands of square meters along Provincial Road DT720, bordering the districts of Tanh Linh and Duc Linh (Binh Thuan Province).

On March 15, 2022, the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district (Binh Thuan province) discovered and imposed an administrative fine on Mr. Cao Thanh Sang for constructing a building without a construction permit.

Subsequently, he did not rectify the violation and continued to construct additional structures on the site. After more than two years of being ordered to demolish the illegal constructions, the villa owner has still not voluntarily complied with the demolition order.
