In recent years, the emulation movement "For the poor - no one is left behind" launched by the Prime Minister and the Peak Month for the Poor (October 17 - November 18) has received support and positive response from agencies, organizations, businesses and people of all walks of life in the capital through the Hanoi Fund for the Poor.

That contribution has profound practical and humane significance; it creates a spread, adds important social resources to care for and support poor households, near-poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances and contributes to reducing the city's poverty rate to 0.095%.

Continuing to effectively implement two key focuses: supporting housing and providing livelihoods to help escape poverty sustainably, the Fund for the Poor at all levels of the city has spent over 114 billion VND to support the construction of 979 Great Solidarity houses; supporting means of production such as giving breeding cows, motorbikes, sewing machines, plows, sugarcane juicers... to help poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances have jobs to increase income, improve life, and prevent poverty relapse.

In particular, with the spirit of Hanoi for the whole country, Hanoi with the whole country, in 2023, the city supported the construction of 312 solidarity houses for the provinces of Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, and Hai Phong with a support level of 50 million VND/house.

Of which, Dien Bien province was supported with 15 billion VND to build 300 Great Solidarity houses, practically responding to the call for "A million loving hearts, a thousand happy homes" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Fund for Vietnam's seas and islands receives support of more than 51 billion VND each year - affirming the sentiment and responsibility of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital, regardless of the circumstances, always looking towards Truong Sa with practical actions.

Currently, Hanoi city still has 2,134 poor households, 22,263 near-poor households in need of support and assistance to stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably. To have more resources to help the poor, contribute to ensuring social security in the area, and at the same time share with some provinces that are still facing many difficulties.

On the occasion of the Peak Month for the Poor in 2023, the People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city calls on agencies, organizations, businesses, and people of all walks of life in the capital to promote the tradition of solidarity and the good spirit of "Mutual love and support" of the nation, actively join hands to help the poor and participate in supporting the Fund for the Poor in the city in 2023.
