PetroVietnam donates medical equipment system to Phu Quy island district

The General Director of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group donated a medical equipment system and an endoscopic surgery system worth 3 billion VND to the Phu Quy Island District Medical Center.

On June 17, President Vo Van Thuong, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, leaders of several ministries, branches and Binh Thuan province visited and worked at Phu Quy island district, Binh Thuan province.

During the working trip, the President visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Radar Station 55 of Regiment 292, Division 377, Air Defense - Air Force, stationed in Phu Quy; inspected combat readiness training; inquired about the living conditions and duties of officers and soldiers; worked with officers and people of Phu Quy island district, and witnessed many important achievements in socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security on the island district in recent times.

Also joining the delegation, on this occasion, representing the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Dr. Le Manh Hung, General Director of the Group, presented a medical equipment system and an endoscopic surgery system worth 3 billion VND to the Phu Quy Island District Medical Center, with the hope of sharing with the local government, joining hands to contribute to building and protecting the islands.

Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quy District Le Quang Vinh sincerely thanked PetroVietnam for the timely and valuable support.

Mr. Le Quang Vinh said that with nearly 30,000 people, the District Military Medical Center currently has 70 hospital beds and three medical stations that meet national medical standards to ensure medical examination, treatment, and health care for people, officers, and soldiers on the island.

Phu Quy island district (also known as Cu Lao Thu) is an outpost island of the Fatherland; 100 km from Phan Thiet city; 152 km south of Cam Ranh city; 200 km east of Vung Tau city; 210 km northeast of Con Son island, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and 320 km from Truong Sa island in Truong Sa archipelago. The whole district has a natural area of ​​17.82 km2, with three commune-level administrative units.
