Petrovietnam supports Quang Tri with 9.5 billion VND to implement social security projects

Towards the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), the 65th anniversary of the Oil and Gas industry implementing Uncle Ho's wishes (July 23, 1959 - July 23, 2024), the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has supported Quang Tri province with 9.5 billion VND.

The amount of money that Petrovietnam supported above was to build A Xing Kindergarten, Lia Commune, Huong Hoa District, worth 5 billion VND and the Flood Shelter combined with community activities in Ward 1, Quang Tri Town, worth 4.5 billion VND.

At the meeting between the Petrovietnam delegation and the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group shared about the formation and development process of the Vietnam Oil and Gas industry with a long tradition of 65 years of implementing Uncle Ho's wish for Vietnam to have a strong Oil and Gas industry. Throughout the development process, through many ups and downs, Petrovietnam has always affirmed its role as a pillar of the country's economy, making important contributions to ensuring energy security, economic security, food security and contributing to ensuring national defense and security.

Along with production and business, Petrovietnam always cares and focuses on social security activities across the country. Particularly in Quang Tri province, from 2020 to present, Petrovietnam has contributed nearly 50 billion VND, mainly for educational, cultural and gratitude projects in the area.

Mr. Tran Quang Dung hopes that the coordination and cooperation between the Oil and Gas industry and Quang Tri province in the coming time will have conditions to develop further, not only in cultural and social security activities but especially in Oil and Gas activities.

In particular, on April 24, the Politburo issued Conclusion 76 on new orientations for the development of the Oil and Gas industry, including directing the Group to form a number of energy clusters/centers nationwide in localities with potential and Quang Tri is one of the locations for development. As well as in the immediate future, there is cooperation and facilitation for the development of the Quang Tri Branch, PVOIL Central region in the area, with an annual contribution of about 200 billion VND to the local budget, in petroleum business activities and development orientations in energy transition such as electric vehicle charging stations...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Nam - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee thanked and highly appreciated Petrovietnam for many years, along with production and business activities, for its affection and support in implementing social security projects in the province, especially educational support projects that have shown very good results. Mr. Hoang Nam said that he will direct to soon put the projects sponsored by the Group into effective use, serving to improve the quality of life for the people.
