Petrovietnam meets and honors retired staff on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025

This is a traditional and meaningful activity organized annually by the Group on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year, to show gratitude for the contributions of generations of Group leaders through the ages, and at the same time, it is also an opportunity to meet, exchange and share between generations of leaders, demonstrating the beauty of Petrovietnam culture.

Comrade Le Manh Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group visited and wished good health to former leaders of the Group through the periods.

Attending the program were comrade Le Manh Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group; comrade Le Ngoc Son, Deputy Party Secretary, General Director of the Group; and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, members of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Directors of the Group; representatives of leaders of departments/offices, mass organizations of the Group... Especially the presence of comrades of former leaders, retired cadres of the Group through the periods.

Comrade Le Ngoc Son, General Director of Petrovietnam, expressed gratitude for the contributions of generations of leaders and retired officials of the Group.

At the meeting, Comrade Le Ngoc Son, General Director of Petrovietnam expressed his joy and emotion to meet and express gratitude to former leaders, officers and retired employees of the Group through the periods.

He said that 2024 is a year in which Petrovietnam has left many marks. In terms of institutions, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW dated April 24, 2024 on the implementation of Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW dated July 23, 2015 on the strategic orientation for the development of Vietnam's oil and gas industry to 2025, with a vision to 2035 and some orientations for the new period. The Government issued Resolution No. 38/NQ-CP on the Plan to organize the implementation of Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW, thereby opening up important orientations for the oil and gas industry in general and Petrovietnam in particular for sustainable development in the new period.

Also in 2024, Petrovietnam actively participated in contributing ideas, building legal systems, etc., creating basic conditions for building legal frameworks, contributing to promoting and improving the effectiveness of activities.

Regarding production and business results, Petrovietnam achieved a record revenue of over 1 million billion VND. The State budget contribution reached 165,000 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 9% of the country's total budget revenue. Petrovietnam's consolidated profit continued to reach over 2.3 billion USD/year....

In management and operation, the Group continues to focus on improving risk management, fluctuation management, and building a management system to enhance Petrovietnam's management level to be ready to carry out tasks in the coming time.

Investment work is also promoted, the investment rate is higher than in 2023.

Regarding digital transformation, Petrovietnam has put the exploration and exploitation database system into operation, improving the quality of oil and gas exploration and exploitation activities; applying artificial intelligence in production and business, etc.

In addition, the Group always pays attention to social security work, especially actively participating in the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for households in difficult circumstances as called for by the Government; at the same time, actively participating in reconstruction programs in areas affected by storm No. 3,...

Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son visited and wished good health to former leaders of the Group.

Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son emphasized that in order for the Group to achieve outstanding achievements in 2024, in addition to the efforts of the leadership team, officers and oil and gas workers who are working day and night, there are also important contributions from generations of leaders and officers through the periods. Previous generations are always interested in and closely follow the Group's activities, always concerned about the difficulties and challenges that the Group faces, often give frank comments, share sincere experiences, help the Group's leadership to remove some obstacles, as well as provide appropriate development orientations for the Group in the coming period.

On the occasion of the New Year, on behalf of the Group's Board of Directors, Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son sent his deep thanks to former leaders and oil and gas workers of all periods, and at the same time sent his best wishes for health, peace, and happiness for retired cadres in life.

Entering 2025, he hopes that the Group's leadership as well as the generations of "Fire Seekers" will continue to promote the spirit, courage, tradition, and culture of Petrovietnam to build and develop Petrovietnam strongly, worthy of the responsibility that the Party, Government, and people expect and entrust.

On this occasion, the Group also organized a longevity celebration for retired cadres aged 65, 70, 75, 80, 85.
