The top three positions are all state-owned corporations including PetroVietnam, Viettel and Petrolimex.

However, as the country's number 1 economic group, PetroVietnam paid nearly VND95,000 billion to the budget last year, far exceeding all other enterprises. In which, in the second position, Viettel recorded a budget payment of nearly VND38,000 billion; Petrolimex ranked third with a budget payment of more than VND33,000 billion.

The list of enterprises with the largest budget contributions in Vietnam was compiled by the online financial news site CafeF based on actual budget contributions in the fiscal year (12 months) ending at times between June 30, 2023 and March 31, 2024. In addition, enterprises considered for the VNTAX 200 list must have a minimum budget contribution of VND 200 billion.

The total budget contribution of 200 enterprises in the VNTAX 200 list reached 684,600 billion VND. Of which, the top 10 enterprises alone accounted for nearly half, reaching 333,600 billion VND.

In the Top 200, if a corporation has many parent companies - subsidiaries that meet the standards, only the parent company will be ranked. For this reason, many enterprises with tax payments of up to thousands of billions or tens of thousands of billions such as PVEP, BSR, PV GAS... (subsidiaries of PetroVietnam) or Vinhomes (subsidiaries of Vingroup) will not be ranked but will be placed next to the parent company.

VNTAX 200 also recorded joint ventures and companies with capital contributions from PetroVietnam with the highest budget contributions, such as: Top 10 includes Vietsovpetro Joint Venture with a budget contribution of more than 24,000 billion VND, ranked 6th; Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited (NSRP) with a recorded budget contribution of 20,000 billion VND, ranked 10th; and other enterprises such as: PVI Joint Stock Company; Petroleum General Services Joint Stock Corporation (PETROSETCO).

In the last two months of the year, PetroVietnam will continue to closely monitor the progress of key projects, while implementing measures to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency at factories and construction sites to ensure the goal of completing the 2024 plan.
