Petrolimex closes the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region Sports Festival to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Group's founding

On the evening of March 22, 2025, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) held the closing ceremony of the Petrolimex Workers and Employees Sports Festival in the Northern Midlands and Mountains at Thien Phuc Hall, Muong Thanh Grand Bac Giang Hotel.

Chairman and Director of Ha Bac Petroleum Company - Head of the Organizing Committee Pham Ngoc Huynh announced the closing of the Sports Festival.

Chairman of Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union Nguyen Thanh Son congratulated the success of the Sports Festival.

After two days of exciting and enthusiastic competition of more than 400 athletes from 13 units in the area, the Petrolimex Workers' Sports Festival in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region has officially ended successfully. 12 competitions in 06 sports brought exciting matches, memorable moments and beautiful memories. The audience not only witnessed the excellent performances of the athletes but also felt the determination, solidarity, unity and especially the noble sportsmanship.

In his closing speech, Chairman and Director of Ha Bac Petroleum Company - Head of the Organizing Committee Pham Ngoc Huynh sent his congratulations to all athletes who participated and devoted themselves to the Sports Festival. Mr. Pham Ngoc Huynh affirmed that the success of the Sports Festival came not only from the medals but also from the affection and good relationships that everyone had built together under the common roof of Petrolimex. At the same time, he also sent his thanks to the leaders of the Party Committee of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group, and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam National Petroleum Trade Union for their attention, direction, and creation of the most favorable conditions for the Sports Festival to take place successfully.

Warmly congratulating the success of the Sports Festival, Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union Nguyen Thanh Son requested that units continue to have activities to take better care of the material and spiritual life of employees; continue to nurture the growing sports movement. At the same time, he pledged that the Group's leaders and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union will continue to pay attention and create the best conditions for Petrolimex people to have many useful playgrounds.

The Petrolimex Workers' Sports Festival in the Northern Midlands and Mountains will continue to be one of the activities extending the series of events towards celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (January 12, 1956 - January 12, 2026). This is a meaningful series of activities to promote sports training, improve the health of Petrolimex workers and employees, serve business activities well as promote the tradition of solidarity, determination, and readiness to overcome all difficulties and challenges to bring Petrolimex towards becoming a green, clean, and environmentally friendly energy group.
