Responding to the Earth Hour Campaign 2024, with the message "Saving electricity - make it a habit", Thanh Hoa Power Company (PC Thanh Hoa) has proactively developed a plan to organize activities with many meaningful and practical tasks throughout the province.
Earth Hour 2024 banners were hung by Thanh Hoa PC in coordination with local departments and branches at all intersections, central streets, at company headquarters and affiliated units to ensure safety, aesthetics and easy observation.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Company has focused on implementing the non-commercial DR (load adjustment) Program for customers with large electricity consumption by proactively meeting, discussing and signing agreements; in which, focusing on supporting energy audits with the goal of improving the grid load factor.
PC Thanh Hoa and Bim Son Cement Joint Stock Company signed an agreement on the load adjustment program in 2024.
The Company's Electricity Saving Steering Committee also held a meeting to guide relevant departments to work with customers on signing electricity saving commitments and shifting electricity loads. On that basis, based on the available capacity allocated, the capacity that needs to be regulated for the power companies will be calculated as the basis for calculating the capacity that needs to be shifted for each customer, especially for the group of customers with consumption output ≥ 1 million kWh/year. The work of reviewing and shifting loads will be carried out on DRMS software and completed across the company before March 31.
On March 8, Thanh Hoa PC organized a training program on load adjustment, shifting and electricity saving on DRMS software for the entire business force.
Currently, Thanh Hoa PC has completed training on the program of adjusting, shifting loads and saving electricity on DRMS software for all business staff in the unit; continue to apply the software application to monitor online electricity consumption for customers with large electricity consumption of 1 million kWh/year or more, sharing online with the Department of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee. From April 2024, Thanh Hoa PC will collect load charts of each customer to monitor the customer's capacity usage compared to the maximum committed capacity.
PC Thanh Hoa is reviewing and re-evaluating the overall status of the power grid system in the province, in order to propose measures and plan for power supply in the summer of 2024. The company's functional departments and affiliated units will inspect and control customers' electricity consumption right from the stage of recording indexes and receiving data from the remote measurement system; at the same time, proactively receive feedback information and immediately handle customer complaints about high electricity bill indexes. |
For the Earth Hour event held in 2024, Thanh Hoa PC has also assigned a force of officers and employees to participate in the parade, coordinate with the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Energy Conservation, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, commercial centers, supermarkets... to turn off public lighting equipment on some roads, parks, turn off lights at agency headquarters, signs, advertising lights and lights in unnecessary areas during the event from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23.
Thanh Hoa PC staff distribute leaflets and advise customers on how to use electricity economically, safely and effectively when they come to work at the headquarters of the power companies.
Identifying communication as one of the key tasks in promoting electricity saving, the enterprise has also coordinated with press agencies, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to strengthen the propaganda of the State's legal regulations on economical and efficient use of energy, benefits when customers participate in DR with consulting solutions, guidance and support for businesses; develop a plan to organize propaganda through family and school activities to save electricity; post and share content on saving electricity, protecting the environment and responding to Earth Hour 2024 on the internal website, central and local radio and newspapers, the company's Facebook fanpage, EVN colleague groups, send messages on social networks zalo, customer care app to electricity customers in the area to mobilize them to participate in the event by turning off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment.
The company calls on all officers and employees to change their personal profile pictures to incorporate the Earth Hour 2024 message on social networking platforms, participate in online contests to learn about Earth Hour on the Energy Saving website held from March 16, 2024 - March 31, 2024 and raise awareness of saving electricity in offices, families, etc. Thereby, creating a widespread influence to all people in joining hands with the electricity industry to raise awareness of saving electricity not only at this year's Earth Hour program but also throughout and continuously at other times in 2024 as well as the following years.
In 2024, it is forecasted that there will continue to be many difficulties in the electricity supply, along with the typical weather in the summer of the region, which is often hot and sunny for a long time, leading to a sudden increase in customer demand. The Earth Hour campaign in 2024 calls on all organizations, individuals, families and businesses to join hands to save electricity, fight climate change with small, practical but meaningful actions so that saving electricity truly becomes a habit. |
