PALS spends more than 4.8 billion VND to grant SEEDS scholarships to 266 poor students in Quang Tri

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province has just issued Decision No. 2548/QD-UBND dated October 22, 2024 approving the SEEDS Scholarship Program documents for the period 2024-2026 for 266 poor and studious students of Quang Tri province, sponsored by the Pacific Links Foundation (PALS) with more than 4.8 billion VND.

The total capital for the SEEDS Scholarship Program for the 2024-2026 period for poor and studious students in Quang Tri province is more than 4.8 billion VND, including: non-refundable aid capital of more than 4.4 billion VND; counterpart capital in cash arranged from the provincial budget of more than 440 million VND and the implementation period is until the end of August 2026.

Specifically, the scholarships for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years include: 32 scholarships for junior high school students, with an average value of VND 812,500 per scholarship; 184 scholarships for high school students, with an average value of VND 13,540,000 per scholarship; 50 scholarships for university students, with an average value of VND 28,200,000 per scholarship.

At the same time, the SEEDS Scholarship Program for the 2024-2026 period also provides computers to a number of excellent students with 04 scholarships, each worth an average of 12 million VND; supports English scholarships, training for program staff,...

In addition, the program also has a number of other activities such as: Organizing a career summer camp for some students in grades 9 and 10; Rewarding students who won prizes at the provincial and national levels; Training to raise awareness, communicating to raise awareness of self-protection for students and their families.

The SEEDS scholarship program for the 2024-2026 period also aims to provide scholarships and support activities to help disadvantaged students in Quang Tri province reduce the risk of dropping out of school, excel in their studies and move towards a better future.
