"There will be no rematch. There is nothing to debate," former US President Donald Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social on October 9.
Mr Trump said it was "too late" for another debate.
The Republican presidential candidate's statement came after Fox News invited the two presidential candidates to participate in the second debate, scheduled to take place on October 24 or October 27.
According to Fox News , the second debate "will give each candidate a chance to make their final argument."
Mr. Trump also declined CNN 's invitation for a second debate on October 23, while Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris accepted.
Mr. Trump and Ms. Harris debated for the first time on September 10. Mr. Trump has said there will be no other debates before the election on November 5.
Early polls from Reuters , YouGov and CNN show that a majority of voters think Vice President Kamala Harris outperformed former President Donald Trump in the debate. Most commentators and observers agree that Harris prevailed in the face-off, with the vice president putting Trump on the defensive.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trump criticized the debate with Ms. Harris as a "total fraud" and called ABC , the network that hosted the debate, "the most dishonest news organization." Mr. Trump was repeatedly interrupted and fact-checked by the moderators throughout the debate.
