Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee has just been elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
On the afternoon of February 12, the People's Council of Hau Giang province, term X, 2021-2026, held the 24th session (special session) to approve the Reports on personnel work.
At the meeting, the provincial People's Council delegates dismissed Mr. Dong Van Thanh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee and Mr. Tran Van Huyen from the position of Chairman of the People's Council.
At the same time, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen was dismissed from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (due to job transfer) and Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuy Hang - Former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang Province was dismissed from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee (due to retirement).
Also at the meeting, Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Tran Chi Hung - Secretary of Long My District Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Tran Van Huyen vowed to devote himself to performing the functions, duties and powers prescribed by law.

Mr. Tran Van Huyen, born on March 1, 1971; hometown is Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province. Professional qualification is Master of Cultural Studies, Political theory qualification is Advanced.
Mr. Tran Van Huyen has held the following positions: Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hau Giang Province; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long My District Party Committee; Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee; Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee.
In November 2020, Mr. Tran Van Huyen was elected Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province.
