Mr. Quang tells his daughter the truth about Lam.
A review of episode 5 of "We of 8 Years Later," which aired on the evening of November 14th, revealed a scene where Lam (Quoc Anh) refused Mr. Quang's (NSND Trung Anh) offer because he didn't want to lose Duong (Hoang Ha) - the girl Lam had strong feelings for.
Later, Lam went to see Duong. When Duong, feeling resentful, said, "I thought you were very busy," Lam seized the opportunity to confess to her, "I'm afraid of missing out on other important things," and hugged her. Lam's actions surprised and delighted Duong.
Lam refused Quang's lucrative contract offer because he didn't want to lose Duong.
After failing to influence Lam, Mr. Quang proactively invited Duong out for a meal and reminded his daughter, "In my position, many people want to approach me. He's no different. You know, I wouldn't pay attention to him if it didn't involve you. He's much more cunning than you think. His relationships are always ulterior motives," Chairman Quang told his daughter.
However, Duong didn't want to hear those words from Mr. Quang. She said, "He's not that kind of person. Just because someone has money doesn't mean they'll necessarily flock to them."
Seeing that his daughter placed great trust in Lam, Mr. Quang decided to give Duong the evidence he had gathered about Lam's relationships.

In another development, the review of "Us 8 Years Later" episode 5 also revealed a scene where the company's leader directly spoke with Lam and promised "huge" benefits if he could sign a contract with Mr. Quang's company, such as 2% of the contract's profits and the position of sales manager. However, because he didn't want to break up with Duong to sign the contract, Lam proactively refused.
Seeing this, the leader encouraged Lam: "Emotions are just one aspect of human life. I believe everything can be negotiated as long as the price is reasonable.
