Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Xuyen district.

Over the past 5 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Xuyen district has constantly innovated its content and methods of operation; promoted the strength of the great solidarity bloc, propagated and mobilized all classes of people to effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements.

The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas - civilized urban areas" was widely deployed by the Front and its member organizations throughout Duy Xuyen district. Thereby, mobilizing people to voluntarily contribute 104 billion VND to build rural infrastructure. By the end of 2023, the whole district had 95% of households, 80.8% of residential areas and 26.5% of clans recognized as meeting cultural standards.

The work of mobilizing and caring for the poor and those in difficult circumstances has achieved many positive results. Accordingly, the "For the Poor" Fund of the district and communes and towns mobilized 14.6 billion VND. Thereby, it provided livelihoods to 326 poor households, supported production development, supported disadvantaged students, supported medical examination and treatment, gave gifts to 6,692 cases and built 145 solidarity houses. Thanks to that, the poverty rate of the whole district decreased from 3.08% in 2019 to 2.06% in 2023.

In the period of 2019 - 2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Xuyen district chaired 174 thematic supervision sessions, coordinated supervision of 145 sessions with many contents directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of union members, association members and people of all walks of life.

At the same time, 82 forums were organized for people to contribute ideas to build the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and the people's police force; 126 direct dialogue conferences between leaders of Party committees and authorities with the people. From there, difficulties and obstacles in implementing policies and laws were promptly resolved and pressing issues in all areas of social life were resolved.

The congress unanimously elected 58 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Xuyen district for the 2024-2029 term; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district.
