Mr. Luu Trung Thai continues to be Chairman of the Board of Directors of Military Bank.

On June 15, the General Meeting of Shareholders for the 2024 - 2029 term was held by the Military Bank (MB).

After completing the candidate selection procedure and reporting to the State Bank for approval of personnel to elect members of the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Supervisory Board for the 2024-2029 term according to regulations, MB submitted to the shareholders' meeting for approval of the number and conducted the election.

The Board of Directors consists of 11 members, including 4 members inherited from the previous term who were elected to the Board of Directors for the 2024 - 2029 term. At the first meeting of the new term, Mr. Luu Trung Thai was elected to continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors of this bank for the new term.

Mr. Luu Trung Thai was born in 1975 and has been with MB for more than 26 years.

Mr. Luu Trung Thai continues to be Chairman of MB's Board of Directors for the 2024-2029 term.

During the period 2013-2017, Mr. Thai participated in restructuring member companies, contributing to building a multi-functional financial group ecosystem with 6 member companies operating safely and sustainably. In January 2017, Mr. Thai assumed the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of MB, before holding the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of this bank for the term 2019-2024.

Ms. Vu Thi Hai Phuong continued to be elected as Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for the new term.

Among the 7 new personnel joining the Board of Directors, Mr. Pham Nhu Anh, General Director, is a personnel who has been with MB for 19 years, has a lot of experience in banking business management and has achieved excellent results. In 2023, Mr. Anh was trusted by the Board of Directors to be appointed as General Director, operating MB to complete the business tasks assigned by the shareholders' meeting in 2023.

MB's Board of Supervisors for the 2024 - 2029 term consists of 5 members, of which 3 personnel inherited from the previous term will continue to be elected for the new term.

According to MB, the elected members of the Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors are highly qualified, reputable and experienced in business administration, meeting the requirements of high-standard banking administration, sustainable development, and ensuring shareholder interests.

"The selection also ensures diversity in experience, age, gender; independence, inheritance as well as meeting appropriate standards of political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, style and working culture at the bank" - MB informed.

Regarding business results, in the first quarter of 2024, MB reported pre-tax profit of nearly VND 5,800 billion, a slight decrease compared to the same period. The bank's MBB stock price closed the weekend session at VND 23,100/share.
